Are there disabled and parent/child facilities available at West Orchards Shopping Centre?

Our toilets include disabled facilities, as well as baby changing facilities. There is also a larger cubicle within the female toilets, with baby changing facilities. These are located on level two, at the rear of Cocoa Caffe.



What access is available to the centre for disabled customers or families with pushchairs?

There is flat level access with automatic doors from Iron Monger Row and Smithford Way. There is also flat level access from all car park levels with automatic doors, in the Blue and Yellow corners. Inside the centre, there are two main lifts in the atrium, from ground floor to level 5, and a lift located near Footasylum to gain access to The Link Mall.



What facilities are there for families with children?

We have bottle warming facilities available at CANTEEN on level 2 of the centre. Please also ask at specific retailers such as Costa and Debenhams Café, for facilities that they offer in store. There is also an enclosed private breast feeding room, located within the ladies toilet area.



Can I hire mobility equipment at West Orchards Shopping Centre?

You cannot hire wheelchairs or self-drive scooters from the centre. Mobility Pathways (Shopmobility) is located at Barracks Car Park, and is open 8.45am – 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. Their contact number is 024 7683 2020. Note: Wheelchairs and scooters are subject to availability and relevant ID is required.

Are there disabled and parent/child spaces available at the centre's car park?

We have a three level multi-storey car park, open Monday to Saturday from 8:00am until 6:30pm (last entry 5:30pm) and on Sunday from 10:00am until 5:00pm (last entry 4:00pm). There are various numbers of disabled and Parent & Toddler car parking spaces located on each level. There are also wider bays on level 5 for larger cars. No discounts are available to disabled customers for parking costs, as this is a Coventry City Council owned car park.



What level of help can be offered by staff and security at West Orchards Shopping Centre?

The team at West Orchards are pleased to be able to offer help and support to any customer who requests it, with first aid training, and most staff having basic awareness of common disorders that can affect customers.
